The healing process of patients is significantly influenced by the well-being provided by their environment. At the Waldkliniken, the design merges hotel comfort with hospital functionality, a concept we call “hospitecture.” The interiors offer a functional retreat, with staggered bed arrangements in two-bed rooms ensuring privacy and personal space, while shared verandas promote social interaction. The building’s design maximizes natural light and ventilation, featuring large openings to the surrounding forest. Recognising nutrition as essential for well-being and recovery, four restaurants cater to all dietary requirements.
