The Chiemgauhof - Lakeside Retreat, a luxurious 5-star-plus hotel, is situated on the shores of Lake Chiemsee, also known as the 'Bavarian Sea' due to its size and tides. The lake is the protagonist - the architecture takes a back seat to nature.
The special charm of the old wooden barns has been reinterpreted and translated into the present day - local natural materials such as wood, stone and glass characterise the interior and architecture. A minimalist, timeless, all-round cosy, relaxed and emotional atmosphere has been created in the interior: Contemporary Bavarian.
